What is the NANO Disinfection
Scanner?
The new NANO UV Disinfection Scanner from Zadro is a portable
Ultraviolet light that will eliminate 99.9% of bacteria and virus
surface contaminants in only 10 seconds from virtually any kind of
surface to promote better health and a more germ free environment.

How does it work?
The easy to use handheld, battery-operated unit disperses a UV light
that provides a proven germicidal killing zone. This is the same type of
light that is commonly used by hospitals and food processing plants to
sterilize surfaces. To use, hold the NANO UV light scanner between ¼ and
1-½ inches from the surface you want to scan and press the power button
once and the light will come on for 10 seconds. Pass the light slowly
across the surface until the entire area is covered, for highly
contaminated areas, repeat scanner 2-3 times.
The NANO UV scanner has
been tested and certified to effectively kill the DNA of surface
microorganisms, including E-coli, Salmonella, Streptococcus Hemolytic,
Eberthella Typhosa, MS2 and H5N1 viruses.

How often should the NANO be used?
It really comes down to consumer piece of mind, daily use is
suggested, regular use is expected on frequently used surfaces. It is
also important to note that the UV bulb, the most valuable part of the
product, has an anticipated useful life of 4,000 hours, which is a
lifetime of 10 second scans, so there is a long useful life to this
product.

What is the
kill zone of the NANO Scanner?
The “kill zone” is the length of the UV bulb. The idea behind the
product is that it is compact, lightweight, portable, and battery
operated. Once you scale up the bulb size, more power is required,
entailing an AC adapter, thus a larger less portable product. Consumers
want smaller but effective products. Though this means more scans
depending upon the surface area, it efficiently and quickly scans
commonplace germ infested areas such as cell phones, computer mouse or
keyboards, baby bottles, contact lens solution, remote controls, airline
trays, bathroom fixtures, or doorknobs etc.

Why does it
have a 10 second timer?
The NANO is a ultra-violet device, and consumer UV devices, such as
sun lamps, have a timer for safety purposes. All testing was done using
a 10 second scanning protocol as well.

Is the NANO safe to use?
The NANO UV scanner contains an ultraviolet light and should be used
with care, It is Not a Toy, and should be kept out of the reach of
children. The NANO UV Scanner should be used with caution:
- Do not use the NANO on any part of the body.
- Do not look directly into the UV light.
- Do not touch the NANO UV lamp.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
- Never disassemble the NANO UV Scanner.
- The NANO UV is a high voltage device.
- Do not open, expose, modify or touch internal circuitry; this can
lead to high voltage shock.
- Mercury Hazard: Do not break the UV lamp.

How long will my NANO UV Scanner
last?
The UV light bulb has an expected life of 4,000 hours, which is
thousands of scans. The battery-operated unit will require battery
changes after 400 scans, but will continue to operate effectively as
long as the NANO is not damaged. The NANO operates on 2 AAA batteries
and is backed by a 90 day limited warranty.
